The Japanese Yen is appreciated very high these days. We hope the trend will change soon and foreign tourists aren’t discouraged from traveling to Japan due to the bad exchange rate. The photo is kiwi fruit priced 97 Yen each. At the moment, there is almost nothing you can buy for one U.S. dollar in Japan.

Utano Youth Hostel
