「弁慶（a worrier monk called Benkei who served the General Minamoto no Yoshitsune in 12 century and has a lot of embellished story about his strength) の」といわれるくらい大きく、重い。長いほうは重さ90キロ、短いほうは14キロ、高下駄は一足12キロ。150年前の修行僧が、音羽の滝－本堂間の 100段の石段を1万回上り下りしたのを記念して奉納した。常に、持ち上げようとする参拝者がいる。
